Here goes! Two DIY peelings. We show you how to mix these home-made peelings!
Besides being our largest organ, the skin is a real marvel. It renews every 28 days and sheds dead skin cells automatically. Environmental impacts, too much makeup, cold and dry heated air, after all, can unbalance this cycle. I know, I keep on about winter and heated air, however, the change between cold and dry air makes it difficult for our skin to keep a balanced PH-value.
We, women, are always wishfully looking for that special ”glow“ on our skin, to be talked of ever since Jennifer Lopez. A weekly peeling lets our skin radiate again. Many exfoliations sold in Germany contain health-damaging microplastics that penetrate our body and pollute the drinking water. Furthermore, chemical additives irritate the skin and weaken the epidermal barrier function. Homemade peelings present a reasonable and healthy alternative, charming away the grey haze in the most natural way!
II’m showing you two DIY peelings that can be easily made by yourself with just a few home remedies:
Alkaline Peeling
Not enough sleep? Too fatty food? You have pimples and rednesses and feel superacid? This alkaline peeling puts your PH-value on the right track again.
Ingredients:
2 full tbsp. organic honey
3 tsp. coffee grounds (if you don’t have a coffee brewer, Starbucks or San Francisco Coffee Company will help you out with fresh coffee grounds)
2 tsp. organic cane sugar
3 tsp. baking soda (sodium bicarbonate)
Let the peeling work for about 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water or take off with a damp washcloth. Afterwards, cream as usual.
Lipid Balancing Coco Peeling
Is your skin dry and tense? You feel your skin is grey and pale? In this case, this coconut oil peeling provides your skin with the moisture and vitamins it needs to radiate again!
Ingredients:
3 tbsp. organic coconut oil
3 tsp. coffee grounds
1/2 organic lemon
Let the peeling work for about 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water or take off with a damp washcloth. Thanks to the lipid balancing effect of the coconut oil providing moisture for about 12 hours there’s no need of creaming afterwards.
Both peelings work perfectly for hands and lips as well!
