Are you ever in the mood to watch a good movie but you don’t know which one to watch?
Sometimes I feel like I spend more time searching for a movie than actually watching it. It can be such a hassle to find something to watch when there are so many options out there.
And what better way to spend time with your loved ones than watching a mood boosting movie together? I’ve compiled a list of some of my favorite films to watch that immediately make me feel happy. Enjoy!
Mama Mia! (2008)

Donna (Meryl Streep), an independent hotelier in Greece, is getting ready for her daughter’s wedding. Sophie (Amanda Seyfried), the bride, is sending out some last-minute invitations to Donna’s three ex-lovers from her early twenties, one of which could potentially be Sophie’s father. As the three men make it to the island, Sophie has to figure out which one is her real father, without letting Donna know that she invited them.
The Parent Trap (1998)

Twins Annie and Hallie are strangers until worlds collide at summer camp. The girls’ divorced parents Nick and Elizabeth, live on opposite ends of the Atlantic, each parent with one of the girls. Annie and Hallie had no clue the other existed, but after meeting at camp, American Hallie and British-raised Annie decide to swap places and spend time with the parent they never had before.
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off

Ferris Bueller (Matthew Broderick) is an expert when it comes to skipping school and not getting caught. Ferris decides to skip school once again before graduating, but this time he goes all in and his friends come along for the ride. Bueller takes you along his epic day while trying to not get caught by principal Rooney (Jeffrey Jones).
Crazy, Stupid, Love (2011)

Cal Weaver (Steve Carell) has a great job, nice house, happy children, and a beautiful wife. But all of a sudden, he finds out that his wife is cheating on him and she wants to file for divorce. Cal, a newly single 40-year old man, has no idea where to start when it comes to dating. Then he meets Jacob Palmer (Ryan Gosling), a very attractive player who teaches Call how to be wanted by the ladies.
The Princess Bride (1987)

The Princess Bride tells the story of a fairytale adventure about a beautiful woman and her one true love. The pair have been separated and the adventure begins on his journey to save her. They must battle the evils of the mythical kingdom of Florin to be reunited once again.
The Intouchables (2011)

A wealthy Parisian man has to live as a quadriplegic ever since his paragliding accident. He hires a young man to be his live-in caretaker. The men are polar opposites — coming from a completely different upbringing and lifestyle. The pair have a rocky start, but soon learn from one another and build a beautiful, heartwarming friendship.
Roman Holiday

Overwhelmed by her busy schedule and royal duties, European Princess Ann (Audrey Hepburn) sneaks out of the palace for a wild night in Rome. When a sedative she took from her doctor kicks in, she falls asleep on a bench and is found by an American reporter, Joe Bradley (Gregory Peck), who brings her to his flat for safety. At work the next morning, Joe figures out her identity and makes a bet with his boss about writing a story about the Princess, but his attraction and feelings for her get in the way.
27 Dresses

Never ending bridesmaid, Jane (Katherine Heigl), is the most selfless woman. She can’t say no to anything! She is everyone’s go-to lady when it comes to wedding planning. When Jane’s younger sister Tess (Malin Akerman) announces her engagement with Jane’s man crush, she finds herself questioning her role as a wedding expert. Meanwhile an attractive reporter (James Marsden) sees Jane’s interesting story as a potential article and wants to find out more about her.
