Escada’s ex-designer Daniel Wingate strikes a new path.
After 16 years in the position of creative director for Escada, he launches his own line Wingate . The collection comes in a size range from 34 to 48. 0 corresponds to 34/36 while 3 complies with 46/48.
A straight and very personal statement towards the world of fashion: “Ageless, size-less, fearless” – bold fashion addressing to confident women across ages and sizes. Wingate gets into the dialogue with women and offers pieces that stand the test of time by surviving the seasonal fashion trends.
”I want to conceive collections for all types of women and not exclude anybody – without making the size a subject of discussion. This is how the idea of sizes 0 to 3 was born.”
The Collection 01 stands representative for clear and wide cuts. What’s interesting is the combination of subtle colour shades like white and creme contrasting with somber black and bright blue. Eye-catching graphical prints provide the otherwise understated collection an extroverted elegance.
Wingate started in the USA where it is available at luxury department store Neiman Marcus and at a pop-up store in Miami. In Germany, the collection can be seen as of now at Ruffini-Haus in Munich.
