It’s International Women’s day, and ladies do I have some outfit inspo for you. In PURPLE! But first- a little bit more about this lovely day, for the ladies!
How did international womens day even come about? You have 15,000 ladies to thank, who in 1908 protested on the streets of new york demanding shorter hours, better pay, and the right to damn vote! Shocking that they did not have any of that before.. Huh. Well those gals sure made their mark, because a year later they were honored by the socialist party of America, and not too long after that, the movement went global. In 1975, international womens year, the UN proclaimed march 8th international womens day, and it has stated that way since.
In honor of Women’s Day, I will present you guys with a mix of Look Of The Week, with Women We Love. Now purple wasn’t always my color, but bear with me, these fits are sure to be on the top of your list as well.. rewriting “purple is not my color” to “purple is perfect”. I’ll also add a touch of green, and give you ladies the perfect international women’s day fit.
Lauren Nicole
Lauren Nicole is CEO of @fashionkiller.uk and @laurennicoledigital, contributing curve editor @cosmopolitanuk, and a model at @immmodels. Her Instagram radiates body positivity, boss girl vibes, and darn good looks. Talk about a jack of all trades.
I absolutely adore her combo of purple with a zebra stripe mini dress under, throwing us back to the 90s.
If you take an extra look at her instagram page, you can see what more she has to offer. But for now, here is how to try and get a similar look to this one!

Lydia Hudgens
This boss lady Lydia Hudgens is a New York based photographer, content creator, and model at We Speak Models. Her website www.lydiahudgens.com exemplifies why we love her style, behind and in front of the camera. Give it a look, you won’t regret getting a little inspo by this creative lady.
Side note – the dope shirt she is wearing is a company called Nettle based in the US. They are a brand moving towards breaking the divide of how men and women shop, giving us an all in one. I added something similar, in case the former option is out of reach. Also- the tie dye socks are a MUST.

Verena Prechtl
Verena Prechtl, aka @Ms_Wunderbar, who has been previously mentioned in The Curvy Magazine, is a fashion, lifestyle, and plus-size blogger, who is a big advocate for loving yourself the way you are. She runs “The Skinny and The Curvy One” with her friend Sophia, not only focusing on fashion but showing their readers their super cool styling tips, travel advice, and more. Give it a look! And here are ways to achieve something similar to Verena’s look, the perfect combination of “justice, dignity, and hope”.

Thanks to these ladies, we have outfits for days. And the tie dye socks.. again.. MUST!
