Let’s talk leather baby!
Leather is always a good option to have during the fall and winter season. Not only does leather keep you warm, but it also makes you look like an absolute babe and bad ass at the same time.
When you think of leather outfits, hopefully Christina Aguilera’s look from her “Dirrty” music video isn’t the only thing that comes to mind. There are so many ways to style leather, whether it be for a casual, or a going out look. Leather has always been a part of the fall season, like pumpkin spice and lattes.
So, follow along to see how to best showcase and style leather!
Leather Coat
The 90s are back, once again, in the form of long leather coats inspired by The Matrix wardrobe. Styled with rather casual pieces, like light jeans, a plain white T-shirt, some high-top Converse, or comfortable loungewear — the look can be broken down a bit. Dresses are also a cool combo that give the look a more feminine touch. How about a knitted dress with a turtleneck, a tight black dress, or maybe a cute and playful chiffon dress?
And if you aren’t so into black, don’t worry! The look also looks great with a brown leather coat.
Leather Pants
Don’t worry, I’m not talking about the traditional Bavarian leather trousers. This season, long and straight cut leather pants are trending, and there are several colors to choose from. Black, brown, beige, red, grey — they all look good! Leather pants are a great staple item to have in your closet because they are quite versatile. For more elegant occasions you can easily pair them with a blouse or camisole, and for more comfortable days we recommend a casual turtleneck or an oversized shirt.
Leather Skirt
I had to bring up leather skirts at some point. They cannot be excluded from this article!
We specifically love the fact that the leather gives the otherwise rather simple pencil skirt a cool touch. You can pair it with a playful blouse, a simple t-shirt or a sweater. If you’re really into the leather vibe, you can even add a leather jacket to go for the full punk/skater vibe. Match it with a pair of elegant or chunky boots and the look is perfect!
We hope we’ve inspired you a bit to recreate these looks! If you’re interested in seeing more options, we have you covered. Check out our ‘Look of the week’ section to find more leather looks that you will love.
