Kai Collective is a female-founded, black owned fashion brand that I recently discovered, and what can I say other than the fact that I am utterly obsessed with it! Kai Collective was created in 2016 by fashion and travel blogger, Fisayo Longe.
One of the things that attracted me the most about the brand is its social media presence on Instagram. I love that Kai Collective prioritizes inclusivity, diversity, and sustainability among other things. Fisayo Longe is passionate about female black representation within the fashion industry and celebrates confidence for every type of body shape through her designs. The size chart ranges from XXS to XXXL, so there is an option for everyone to choose from!
Kai Collective focuses on showcasing diversity through fashion and it is evident in their creative direction and branding. The brand embodies representation and features women of color and plus-size models frequently on the Kai Collective Instagram account and website.
My Favorite Looks
Some people stray away from wearing orange because it’s too bright or provocative, but I think it’s a beautiful color that attracts light and good energy. Not to mention, orange is one of the trending spring colors of 2021!
A baggy and tight two piece set that hugs your body perfectly, what more can you ask for? I love the fact that these pieces are not too tight or baggy.
See-through mesh is also trending in 2021, and I am absolutely here for it! I love this psychedelic looking design because it creates dimension to a simple fabric. Not to mention, this fabric is stretchy, breathable and comfortable!
Last but not least, red velvet fabric! This dress is so chic and cool. Pair it with some heels for a fancy date night or with sneakers for a more casual look.
