Plant-based oils deluxe: These five incredible miracles of nature assist you in perfecting your beauty routines.
Who would have thought it! Oils as ingredients in beauty products were the horror vision par excellence: we are afraid of oily skin and stringy hair. But heads up, there’s no reason to panic. Meanwhile many existing oil care products in the market are just incredible. Here’s a list of our favourites:
Marula Oil
The oil which is extracted from the kernels of the Marula tree is a true vitamin C-bomb. The contained unsaturated fats strengthen the natural skin protection and have a regenerative effect. Powders extracted from the tree bark are supposed to even help against rheumatism. Seems to be the African beauty secret.
Harakeke Gel
Strictly speaking, Harakeke is not an oil. But it’s so good that obviously, we need to share it with you! The New Zealand beauty secret is an extract of the flax leaves. More than that, it helps against skin problems, prevents cellulitis and has a natural sun and insect screen.
Monoï Oil
”Monoï“ means „scented oil“ in Tahitian and it smells like the Tiaré flower, the national flower of Tahiti. For the Monoï oil manufacturing, the flowers are picked and placed in refined coconut oil. During the ”enfleurage“ (flower soaking), the flowers give off their moisturizing ingredients and caring agents. The beauty-allrounder provides smoothness and elasticity to the skin, shine to the hair and prevents from drying out.
